A thickening dark is hanging over the park.
It appears that god finally called my bluff.
My eyes have seen some things
that only age could bring.
The wrinkles on my face are proof enough.
I'm trapped in a car, they say it's not very far.
I smell the leather seats and alcohol.
And maybe for awhile I can forget it all,
and leave my baggage behind me for a time.
I won't lie, sometimes I feel it'd be okay to die.
I'm swimming up stream, it feels just like a dream
and everyones smiles puts me at ease.
I smell the ocean air, please someone take me there
So I can breathe the ice cold ocean breeze.
Tell me something I've never heard,
a witty phrase or uncommon word.
Something that makes me feel young again.
Tell me something beautiful,
inspiring or terrible.
Something that makes me remember when.
